We’re delighted to welcome Alex McCash to the Terravesta team as a field technician for our government-funded OMENZ project.
Alex’s role is crucial to the future development of Miscanthus crops. He is working exclusively on our government-funded OMENZ project which will scale up Miscanthus planting.
This means he coordinates field trials with existing varieties and new hybrids to assess planting and establishment techniques, to find ways of improving crop establishment and resulting yield.
Having just graduated with a degree in plant science at the University of Sheffield, he’s passionate about sustainable farming and his practical knowledge is invaluable in examining our planting protocol, to speed up establishment.
On the new appointment, Alex says he is looking forward to contributing to the bright future ahead for Miscanthus. “I’m looking forward to working on a project that contributes to a net zero future,” he says.
